A Distinct Identity
GLEF Foundation is an independent, non-profit making, non-political and charitable organization, with the primary objective of providing and extending comprehensive and accessible maternal and child health services to poor and deprived communities as part of the total effort of the health care delivery system in Ghana; and its operation does not have religious, political or ethnic bias.

MISSION
To provide comprehensive maternal and child health services as part of the total effort of the health care delivery system with the view to achieve coverage and accessibility.
GOAL
To improve maternal and child health services at both community and health care facility levels through the use of evidence-based, feasible and cost effective interventions in order to achieve accelerated reduction in maternal and new born deaths.
KEY ACTIVITIES
Health screening (Outreach Services): Hepatitis B, Syphilis, Diabetes, HIV/AIDs, Tuberculosis, Malnutrition , Hypertension
Testing and treatment of malaria in pregnant women and children under five years.
Vaccination against Hepatitis B
Health Education: Pregnancy related complications. The need for pregnant women to access antenatal services. Sensitization on exclusive breastfeeding and immunization of children up to 5 years. Nutrition and Healthy Lifestyle
Provision of preventive services through Iron and Folic Acid, IPT for pregnant women, de-worming as well as Vitamin A supplementation.
Provision of outreach services to hard – to – reach communities to treat and offer treatment for infections such as skin and chest infections.
Supply of essential basic medical equipment and drugs to health facilities in deprived communities
